Content Designer

As Content Designer, you will be responsible for delivering an excellent content experience for customers. You will work on digital channels working across all forms of content with a particular focus on writing.

Please note: This is not a graphic design or a marketing role.

You will collaborate closely with a wide range of YBS colleagues and work within an Agile delivery environment. Your squad will include Product Owners, Developers, UX Designers and Business Analysts. You’ll work with them using inclusive design techniques to deliver an excellent experience for our customers.

This is a hybrid role with remote working and some onsite presence in our central Leeds offices.

About the role

As Content Designer, you’ll be part of the Content Design Team. Our purpose is to ensure that every single page, chat bot conversation and screen is operating to our high standards and meeting customer needs.

You’ll report to the Content Design Manager and be part of a wider Content Design community. We will invest in your development in formal and on the job training and you will be part of the thriving Design Community of Practice. About you

You’ll be curious and always restless to learn more and improve how we work. You understand that expertise is a journey, not an end point. You will have:

• A proven track record and experience in a Content Design role

• Worked in a multi-disciplinary team of Designers, BAs, Developers, and so on

• Designed and iterated user-centred content to a high standard

• Used analytics data, user feedback and user research to identify the needs of users, map user journeys and inform content strategy

• Excellent people skills particularly collaborating, influencing and advocating for good customer outcomes

• Ability to prioritise your own workload and get stuck in to help the team

• Experience of Mobile App content design would be beneficial
